Does creativety fades away and thoughts drift apart as people age? I guess they do, but not with Karl Lagerfeld, whose doubtless talent seems unstoppable and he never stops to prove it. In his latest Resort Collection that also marked Fendi’s 90 year anniversary, Karl staged one of the most amazing shows ever. A clear plexiglass runway stretched across Rome’s iconic Trevi Fountain, with the crème de la crème of this world’s models. The couture collection’s theme was ‘Legends and Fairytales,’ as models walked on literally walked across the backdrop of the famous fountains and pools from the 1960 film, La Dolce Vita. This marked the first-ever fashion show to take place at the Italian landmark, making Karl & Fendi innovators for once again.
Guests were chartered to the show via a private Fendi plane from Paris’s couture collections to Rome, the only fitting way to arrive to a show of such status of course.
Talking about the crème de la crème of models, Kendall Jenner opened the show floating across the Trevi Fountain waters, in an spotessly detailed blue coatdress and red boots and later in the show, an ethereal gown.
Bella Hadid led the ode of the models that closed the show in the best way possible
During his final bow alongside Fendi’s Silvia Venturini, Karl Lagerfeld threw three coins into the fountain. But to be honest he probably staged one of the best couture shows ever, what else is to wish for?
